technique, advice, time management

The Pomodoro Technique

You are probably work long hours.

You have a 40-60 hour work week that you spend doing all types of tasks.

BUT

What if, you could turn that 40-60 hour work week into only 16 hours?

What if you could take that entire week and put it into the span of one to two days?

With the Pomodoro Technique, you can.

This Technique Works in Four Ways

  • It teaches you how to manage your time more effectively.
  • It helps you to do this without creating exhaustion and frustration.
  • It teaches you how to reduce outside distractions.
  • It teaches you how to find balance in life with your work.

Getting all of this while still doing your work might seem impossible, but it is something people are doing every day.

Nothing extreme is necessary here, yet you still get the “extreme” results.

Everyone can use this technique.

The Steps for It are as Followed

  • Lock out all distractions. Turn OFF all your devices, or put then on airplane mode.
  • Choose what you are going to do. Whether it is write up a report or manage some files. Make it just one job. You are narrowing your focus for this.
  • Work on it for 25 minutes. Make sure that you have a timer ready to avoid going over or under that time.
  • Take a short break, approximately five minutes. Use this time to stretch and relax.
  • Go back to working for 25 minutes, and then taking five minute breaks. Do this for a few times and then take a larger break. The larger break should be 15 – 20 minutes, allowing you to fit in something to unwind.
