Expect the Unexpected with these Interview questions

Congratulations!

You’ve studied hard. You put the hard work.

You graduated and it is time to enter the working world and you just landed an interview for that dream job at a large company.

However, those who go into an interview believing that they’ve learned everything at University or through their recent working experience will be surprised.

Based on the following questions, you will have to train for the unexpected.

These are some of the strangest questions big companies have used during interviews to find their future employees.

  1. “If you were shrunk to the size of a pencil and stuck in a blender, how would you get out?” asked by Goldman Sachs interviewing an analyst candidate.
  2. “If you woke up and had 2,000 unread emails and could only answer 300 of them, how would you choose which ones to answer?”asked by Dropbox.
  3. “Jeff Bezos walks into your office and says you can have a million dollars to launch your best entrepreneurial idea. What is it?” asked by Amazon interviewing a product development candidate.
  4.  “Design a spice rack for the blind,” requested by Intel interviewing a hardware engineer candidate.
  5. “Tell me a story,” requested Celgene from a corporate communications candidate.
  6. “If you had a choice between two superpowers — being invisible or flying — which would you choose?” asked by Microsoft interviewing a high-level product lead candidate.
  7. “Why are manholes round?” asked by St. Jude Medical interviewing an electrical engineer co-op candidate.
  8. “What kind of tree would you be?” asked by Cisco interviewing a senior technical writer candidate.
  9. “How many Big Macs does McDonald’s sell each year in the U.S.?” asked by Facebook interviewing a data-scientist candidate.

When it comes down to it, these companies definitely demand some out-of-the-box thinking.

Be ready to talk about your education, experiences and pretty much everything else.

All we have left to say is: Good luck!

But what we want to hear from you! Les us know:

  1. Have you ever been asked (or if you were the interviewer asked)  unconventional Interview Questions” ?
  2. Will you want to learn more about how to start a business or get a new job?
  3. How would you prepare yourself for these questions?
