Are you willing to get off the beaten track, drive around and cook your own meals? Then you can travel around Australia on a budget! In this episode of TIPS, Shannon Semenikow has some practical travelling tips to explore Australia within your means.
Camper vans are the way to go if you’re travelling on a budget. This way, you have your accommodation and transportation in one! In a week or more, you can go from one Australian city to another in your own time. Check out rental relocations on camper vans to save even more.
A rental with cooking facilities is also a good way to go. Shopping for ingredients typically cost less than eating out. If you’re hitting Australia’s beaches and parks, you can also use the free BBQ facilities to cook up your meals.
Many of Australia’s natural parks are free or charge a very low fee. There are plenty of amazing camping spots off the beaten track that will give you memorable experiences. The parks are both safe and convenient, so you might want to reconsider getting a B&B or hostel.
If you’re interested in seeing the Great Barrier Reef, there are budget tours for those as well! Shannon Semenikow recommends foregoing reservations and finding deals on the spot. Get ready for epic experiences on a boat and on pristine reefs!
These are just a few ways to travel around Australia on a budget. Have a good trip!
